App Design and Development

Travel Kandi, Master's Thesis

I co-authored a master's thesis in mobile application design and development as the culmination of my degree in Creative Digital Media from the Dublin Institute of Technology.  The 266 page thesis centered around Travel Kandi, a travel app that my classmate and I designed and developed.  The thesis discusses the user-centered design approach that we took and each chapter explores a different component of our process over one year of work.  The chapters span topics such as idea inspiration, background and competitor research, workflow, technologies, design, UI, testing and analysis through iteration, prototyping, usability testing, debugging, and evaluation and critique.  I was the lead designer of Travel Kandi.  Our thesis and our app were given the university's highest honors.
